Smashing Stigma & Glass: A Mental Health Meet-Up Like No Other
What happens when a group of RGV therapists get together? We added baseball bats, broken printers, and a whole lot of flying glass. That’s right, we took self-care to the next level at a recent Therapist Meet & Greet at a local smash house! Because even the healers need a space to release, reset, and just let it all out.
Stepping back from intense clinical trauma work has allowed me to truly shape Wisdom’s Wellness & Consulting LLC into what it was meant to be…a space for holistic healing. Rather than focusing solely on diagnosing and treating symptoms, I’ve shifted toward helping the body return to its natural state of balance and function. I do this with intentional autonomic regulation of the nervous system. When we support the body from the ground up, we often find that the diagnoses and symptoms begin to fade. This is the power of a bottom-up approach to mental health that Wisdom’s Wellness & Consulting LLC stands for. It’s rooted in restoring, not just managing.
Honoring Our Heroes: UTRGV Week of Valor & Brain Health Innovation
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s Military and Veteran Success Center once again showcased its unwavering commitment to those who served by hosting a powerful Week of Valor during Veterans Day. This annual event brings together student veterans, military-connected families, and community partners to celebrate service, foster connection, and introduce innovative ways to support veterans’ ongoing well-being.
This past year, Wisdom’s Wellness & Consulting LLC was honored to be invited to the UTRGV campus to participate in this meaningful celebration. As part of the week’s activities, we had the opportunity to introduce veterans and students to cutting-edge brain health technology through a live demonstration of the MediBand neurofeedback device.
An Unexpected Honor: 2024 Woman of Distinction: Military Category
I am incredibly honored and humbled to have been selected as the 2024 Woman of Distinction in the Military category by the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. To be completely honest, I was shocked to learn I had even been nominated, let alone chosen. This recognition came as a complete surprise, and I am deeply grateful to those who saw value in the work I’ve dedicated myself to over the years.
